The reason for the sheen visual difference was to to add some contrast between the two different substrates as the colors were similar. After all patching and prep was completed to the soffits and crown moulding, (2) coats of PPG Interior Speedhide Eggshell Satin finish paint was applied to the crownmoulding and Eggshell finish paint was applied to the drywalled soffits. After the ceiling grid was painted, Major Painting’s team moved to patching of the drywall soffits and caulking/prepping of the crown moulding associated with the soffits.
